Especially if you do not want to spend a lot of money on them. \u00a0Hmmm, what to do.<\/p>\n<p>Enter Google.<\/p>\n<p>There are YouTube videos on how to make your own oars! \u00a0My husband is a do-it-yourself kind of a guy and this intrigues him. \u00a0There is only one small problem. \u00a0You need a lathe. \u00a0He does not have a lathe. \u00a0This makes his plan to make his own oars a little bit more of a challenge.<\/p>\n<p>MFH was discussing this with my son and his frustration on attaining oars~all he really wants to do is go fishing! \u00a0My son, being the smarty kid (23 yrs old) that he is quoted from the movie Galaxy Quest&#8230;&#8221;Look around you, can you construct some sort of rudimentary lathe?&#8221;.<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"625\" height=\"352\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/EQG3I5efwWo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It was funny at the time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today&#8217;s Run: \u00a03.56 miles What does the movie Galaxy Quest and boat oars have in common? \u00a0Everything!!!
