Build an Ark…Rain is coming!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
We have been getting a TON of rain this Spring. \u00a0It has not been unusual for us to get between 2-3″ of rain each week. \u00a0So, I took matters into my own hands today and bought my husband a boat!<\/p>\n
The real reason I bought a boat is because my 25 year old daughter has a bee in her bonnet…she feels that my husband and son needed to go on a fishing trip before we began training for our October marathon. \u00a0We looked into boat rentals but alas, no-one around here rents. \u00a0You must purchase. \u00a0Rats.<\/p>\n
Enter Craigslist.<\/p>\n
Lots of people are selling boats on Craigslist. \u00a0Boats that need rivets, many boats that leak…boats that should not be called boats. \u00a0Since we were sending two of my most favorite people in the world off on a fishing adventure, we needed a “sea worthy vessel”. \u00a0And that is what we got.<\/p>\n
Now, this boat is not pretty. \u00a0It has been “loved”. \u00a0But it floats! \u00a0It does not leak! It is not missing any important parts. \u00a0It will serve our intended purpose.<\/p>\n
We kept this a surprise during our detective work. \u00a0We kept it a surprise until we we on the road today to pick it up! \u00a0My poor husband even went to the ATM to withdraw money to pay for his surprise without even knowing what he was purchasing! \u00a0 What a good sport.<\/p>\n
And Boy, Was He Ever Surprised!!! \u00a0And pleased. \u00a0I would call this a success!!<\/p>\n
