{"id":1482,"date":"2013-04-27T16:49:13","date_gmt":"2013-04-27T21:49:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=1482"},"modified":"2013-04-27T16:49:13","modified_gmt":"2013-04-27T21:49:13","slug":"over-the-river-and-through-the-woods","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=1482","title":{"rendered":"Over The River and Through The Woods&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today&#8217;s Run: \u00a011.00 miles<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Over the river and through the woods, to Grandmother&#8217;s house we go&#8230;&#8221; \u00a0That is the song that drifted through my head over the course of our 11 mile run today.<\/p>\n<p>We ran the &#8220;Roll Tide&#8221; loop today with the running group. \u00a0I call it the &#8220;Over the river and through the woods&#8221; loop. \u00a0Why in the world would I call it that!?!<\/p>\n<p>You see, we cover a great deal of countryside on the Roll Tide loop. \u00a0This includes a little bit of\u00a0trespassing. \u00a0It we cut the loop short (which we did not do today), it includes cutting across a yard and crawling under a fence. \u00a0Either way, it includes climbing over a gate at the horse park~\u00a0A gate that was not meant to be climbed~in my humble opinion.<\/p>\n<p>We passed the white and black cows (white and chocolate milk) at the Mississippi State University\u00a0veterinary school. \u00a0We passed the horses at the vet school, too. \u00a0We passed Sherwood Forrest (a housing development) and waved at Robin Hood. We passed all sorts of landmarks until we reached THE GATE.<\/p>\n<p>I am vertically challenged (4&#8217;11&#8221;) so this gate is HUGE! \u00a0It comes at mile 8.50 of our 11.00 mile loop so we are tired by the time we reach it. \u00a0(But is also means we are almost to the end of the gravel. \u00a0Yay!) \u00a0My husband just kind of gives a &#8220;hop&#8221; and he is over. \u00a0Me? \u00a0Well&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?attachment_id=1483\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1483\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1483\" alt=\"IMG00815-20130427-0821\" src=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/IMG00815-20130427-0821.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/IMG00815-20130427-0821.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/IMG00815-20130427-0821-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/IMG00815-20130427-0821-400x300.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today&#8217;s Run: \u00a011.00 miles &#8220;Over the river and through the woods, to Grandmother&#8217;s house we go&#8230;&#8221; \u00a0That is the song that drifted through my head over the course of our 11 mile run today.
