Today’s run: \u00a04.50 miles<\/p>\n

A week ago, my husband and I were riding my new birthday present around the neighborhood. \u00a0It was a gift from my daughter~A Tandem Bike.<\/p>\n

A year ago, she had been working in food service at Yellowstone National Park and had met a “cute little retired couple” who rode their Tandem all over the park as their source of transportation. \u00a0She told me that when my husband I retired, she was going to make sure that we had a Tandem, also, so we could be a “cute little old couple, too”.<\/p>\n

So, this past February, (my birthday is in February) the FedEx man pulls up in the driveway and unloads this HUGE box. \u00a0My husband was helping him and I asked, “What is it?”.<\/p>\n

“I dunno”, replied my husband. \u00a0“The box just says ‘bike’ on it”. \u00a0And I knew. \u00a0I KNEW! \u00a0It had to be. \u00a0And it was. \u00a0A Tandem Bike!!!<\/p>\n

Now, we are not retired and as far as I am concerned are far from being “old”. \u00a0But I do not mind being a “Cute little couple”.<\/p>\n

This takes us back to last week. \u00a0We were riding the Tandem past the neighbors house and their little boy saw us (he is about 6 years old) and he exclaimed:<\/p>\n

“Look, Mama! \u00a0Look!!! \u00a0A two people bike!!!”<\/p>\n

He was very impressed and pretty darn cute.<\/p>\n
