Today’s Run: \u00a0Rest Day<\/p>\n

Ever since I heard there was such a thing as a Deep Fried Snicker’s Bar, I knew I had to have one! \u00a0Forget the calories. \u00a0Forget the fat. \u00a0I had to have a Deep Fried Snicker’s Bar.<\/p>\n

A year ago we took one of my nephews to a Civil War re-enactment. \u00a0It was in Quitman, Mississippi. \u00a0They said in the\u00a0promotional\u00a0for the event that there would be “Fair food” and I saw this as my golden opportunity to try my newly desired treat.<\/p>\n

We watched the re-enactment (the South won) and went on our search for sustenance. \u00a0We found tons of food but NO Deep Fried Snicker’s Bar! \u00a0I was distressed and\u00a0disappointed. \u00a0Oh well…another day.<\/p>\n

Next stop was last Summer at the Iowa State Fair. \u00a0We were on vacation visiting my in-laws (who are remarkable people BTW) and we decided to spend a day at the Fair. \u00a0Guess what!?! \u00a0They had them!!! \u00a0And I bought one!!! \u00a0And…Oh WOW!!!!! \u00a0Amazing does not even come close…It was well worth the wait. \u00a0But I had a problem…<\/p>\n

Oh, don’t get me wrong. \u00a0I loved the Deep Fried Snicker’s Bar but now I was on MyFitnessPal.com and I would have to LOG that Snicker’s bar. \u00a0Uh-oh. \u00a0I didn’t want to admit I ate the entire thing.<\/p>\n

I enlisted the help of my husband. \u00a0I ate two bites and he bailed me out and ate the rest. \u00a0Yes, I did log my two bites, thank you very much.<\/p>\n

Was it worth the wait? \u00a0Yes. \u00a0Was it worth 115 calories for two bites? \u00a0The verdict is still out on that.<\/p>\n

So imagine my surprise when this past weekend I was staring in the face of another Deep Fried Snicker’s Bar. \u00a0Oh man. \u00a0I remembered the melty, rich chocolate and the powder sugar and then I remembered 115 calories for TWO BITES.<\/p>\n

I only had one bite and my nephew at the rest. \u00a0Good for him. \u00a0He is a growing boy.<\/p>\n
