Today’s Run: \u00a05.13 miles~Schaeffer’s Chapel<\/p>\n
It was a bright sunny morning today. \u00a0No breeze…just sunshine and lots of it! \u00a0The only thing missing was heat. \u00a0It was only 25 F. here in Mississippi. That is quite cold for down here. \u00a0Parts of the state broke records for a hard freeze. \u00a0And we went out and ran in the cold. \u00a0It was marvelous!<\/p>\n
We also reached a decision. \u00a0We are going to run a full marathon this fall. \u00a0If all works out~no injuries or illnesses… \u00a0We were looking into one not too far from home on the Gulf Coast. \u00a0That was looking pretty good. \u00a0Then my husband received an email.<\/p>\n
My husband has a friend from an online running group called DeadRunnersSociety. \u00a0He and this friend have run one other marathon together. \u00a0His friend has been busy over the past couple of years running one marathon in each state. \u00a0He has just a few states left to complete and he has asked my husband and myself to run one of his last races with him. \u00a0He has already run a race in Mississippi. \u00a0Rats. \u00a0 So…<\/p>\n
We are looking at New England. \u00a0Maine to be specific. \u00a0We are looking at two different marathons in Maine. \u00a0The Maine Marathon in Portland. \u00a0And the Mount Dessert Island Marathon in Bar\u00a0Harbor. \u00a0I would love to go to Bar Harbor, actually drive to Bar Harbor and park the car just so I can say, “I pauked the cau in Bau Haubau”. \u00a0I cannot spell it phonetically but you get the idea.<\/p>\n
