{"id":1287,"date":"2013-03-18T17:26:21","date_gmt":"2013-03-18T22:26:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=1287"},"modified":"2013-03-18T17:27:50","modified_gmt":"2013-03-18T22:27:50","slug":"hide-me-rick","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=1287","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Rick, Hide Me&#8221;!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today&#8217;s Run: \u00a05.36 miles<\/p>\n<p>Do you remember the movie Casablanca? \u00a0There is a line in the beginning of the movie where Peter Lorre says, &#8220;Rick, hide me!&#8221; and Rick (Humphrey Bogart) does absolutely nothing to help.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"625\" height=\"352\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/86x4im8TQWY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>That was the scene (minus the shooting) at our house today when a storm rolled through. \u00a0Paxton, the dog (my hero) heard the wind pick up and the thunder roll and knew it was time to hide~and to hide FAST! \u00a0But where???<\/p>\n<p>Paxton has two favorite hiding places. \u00a0The first is under my husband&#8217;s desk. \u00a0The second is in the hall bathroom. Why those two places?<\/p>\n<p>Paxton prefers to be under the desk. It is rather close quarters for him (he is a pudgy puppy, after all) but I think the tightness of the space there is a comfort to him. \u00a0The bathroom is almost always second choice but is used more often due to the fact that the desk is almost always in use with a chair blocking access to the underneath. \u00a0Poor Paxton.<\/p>\n<p>So, this afternoon, Paxton spent the majority of the afternoon hiding in the hall bathroom. \u00a0Cannot you just hear Peter Lorre running around yelling, &#8220;Hide me, Paxton!&#8221;. \u00a0Maybe not.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today&#8217;s Run: \u00a05.36 miles Do you remember the movie Casablanca? \u00a0There is a line in the beginning of the movie where Peter Lorre says, &#8220;Rick, hide me!&#8221; and Rick (Humphrey Bogart) does absolutely nothing to help.
