{"id":1281,"date":"2013-03-17T20:30:22","date_gmt":"2013-03-18T01:30:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=1281"},"modified":"2013-03-17T20:32:31","modified_gmt":"2013-03-18T01:32:31","slug":"resignation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=1281","title":{"rendered":"Resignation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today&#8217;s Run: Ride on the Tandem Bike<\/p>\n<p>Today was truly a sad day. \u00a0This was the day that our Pastor officially resigned.<\/p>\n<p>We received a letter in the mail on Thursday telling of his resignation and this morning after the morning service, we held a congregational meeting to formalize (?) his resignation.<\/p>\n<p>Presbyterians are not big on congregational meetings, so it is a rare event when they hold one. \u00a0Today, they had to give a mini lesson on the order of events of a meeting so people would know what to expect and learn that they would have a vote (shock!).<\/p>\n<p>The minutes were read, the motion was made and seconded and the vote was held. \u00a0It passed. People cried.<\/p>\n<p>(I personally think that the people from First Presbyterian, Jackson, Mississippi, had better steer clear of the people from Main Street Presbyterian because the people of Main Street are not too happy with First Presbyterian for swiping their pastor!)<\/p>\n<p>It will be a huge time of transition for Main Street Presbyterian. \u00a0It will be exciting to see what God has in store for us as a church and congregation.<\/p>\n<p>Keep my church in your prayers.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-469\" style=\"color: #333333; font-style: normal;\" title=\"home\" alt=\"home\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mainstreetpres.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/home.jpg\" width=\"100\" height=\"100\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today&#8217;s Run: Ride on the Tandem Bike Today was truly a sad day. \u00a0This was the day that our Pastor officially resigned.
