Today’s Run: \u00a04.22 miles<\/p>\n
A week or so ago, my husband and I made a quick trip into our new Tractor Supply Store. \u00a0We had never been into one before and we wanted to see what it was like. \u00a0We were looking, at that time, for something to help our sick chicken. \u00a0At that time, I had wondered absentmindedly if there were such a thing as chicken treats. \u00a0No way~said my husband. They are farm animals. \u00a0They do not make treats for chickens.<\/p>\n
But he was wrong! \u00a0They do!<\/p>\n
I found (almost instantly, I might add. \u00a0I have a knack for finding obscure things like this.) freeze dried meal worms! \u00a0Just for chickens! \u00a0How cool is that!?! \u00a0How gross is that!?! \u00a0I HAD to have some for my chickens. \u00a0But seeing as it was not even close to pay day, I had to wait.<\/p>\n
Today is payday! \u00a0My son and I had a few errands to run and one of them was to the Tractor Supply Store. \u00a0Seeing as the chickens are laying now, I am in need of an egg basket in which to carry all the eggs I am hoping the chickens will lay! \u00a0I figured the Tractor Supply Store would have egg baskets. \u00a0They were out of egg baskets but not out of Chicken Treats! \u00a0It was\u00a0providential. \u00a0I bought some.<\/p>\n
The chickens were not so sure as to what to think about these treats. \u00a0They are not used to seeing a lot of my son and he was the one giving the treats to them for the first time. \u00a0But once they figured out what they were and they spilled on the ground~well, those meal worms were history. \u00a0Toast. \u00a0Gone. Ka-put!<\/p>\n
