Today’s Run: \u00a02.06 miles<\/p>\n
Today is my birthday and I am now 51 years old. \u00a0I feel like I am 20! \u00a0I refuse to accept middle age. \u00a0Well, I accept that I am now entering my middle age years not almost past them…I have always had a bit of a rebellious nature, I guess.<\/p>\n
What a terrific birthday it has been! \u00a0I have received phone calls, cards, gifts, magazine subscriptions, emails and one mystery gift. \u00a0I am waiting on the USPS on that one. \u00a0Can’t wait!<\/p>\n
Also today I found out for sure that I do have a sick chicken. \u00a0My husband and I have been force feeding medicine to this bird. \u00a0She is now in the house, in an old rabbit cage, blocked off from the other animals. \u00a0We have some powdered medication that I mix in water and put in a syringe. \u00a0Then I hold her (My husband got the pick of these two jobs by the way) while my husband forces open her beak and with the syringe, squirts medication down her little birdie throat.<\/p>\n
I told myself that it was only one chicken that was sick and if she died then, “Oh well…”. \u00a0But the more I thought about it, she has not even started laying yet, and she should lay for around three years…that is a lot of eggs! \u00a0So, I am trying to nurse her back to health. \u00a0I hope I did not wait too long! \u00a0I have been setting the kitchen timer for an hour all day long, and when it dings, have been giving the chicken her medicine. \u00a0Tomorrow she should only get it every 2-3 hours.<\/p>\n
***Tomorrow night is my birthday dinner***<\/p>\n
Thursday evening is Crawfish night at Bob’s Country Bunker \u00a0aka: \u00a0Bob Robert’s BBQ. \u00a0I decided that I wanted Crawfish for my birthday dinner and Bob’s Country Bunker is my favorite BBQ place so that is that~!<\/p>\n
