{"id":1118,"date":"2013-01-30T23:14:19","date_gmt":"2013-01-30T23:14:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=1118"},"modified":"2013-01-30T23:16:13","modified_gmt":"2013-01-30T23:16:13","slug":"interesting-question","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=1118","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Interesting Question!&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today&#8217;s Run: \u00a02.28 miles<\/p>\n<p>Last Winter we began the process of painting the inside of the house. \u00a0We are almost done with that project. \u00a0The only room left to paint is the Solarium. \u00a0We left this room for last because, well, we do not really care \u00a0what color it is.<\/p>\n<p>Since we have so much yellow paint left over from the kitchen project, I thought I would just go ahead and bring that paint on into the Solarium. \u00a0There is just one little snag with that idea. \u00a0That room is my painting studio.<\/p>\n<p>My husband thought that it would not be a good idea to paint my studio yellow. \u00a0He thought that the yellow would skew my paints as I was mixing them. \u00a0I had not thought of that. \u00a0So, we turned to the professionals.<\/p>\n<p>I sent emails and made phone calls to the art departments of the Mississippi University for Women (The &#8220;W&#8221;) and Mississippi State University (MSU) asking them what color would be an ideal color to paint a studio. \u00a0After waiting a couple a days for a reply, I repeated the process and both schools replied with, &#8220;That&#8217;s an interesting question!&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Basically, the consensus was, yellow was not a good idea but neither was white! \u00a0It should be a light gray on three walls and a dark gray on the third wall. \u00a0Why gray? \u00a0Well, (for starters, I use a gray palette when mixing paints, so I kinda already knew this), gray is a neutral color. \u00a0It is neither warm or cool. \u00a0So, it is perfect for mixing paints because it will not influence the finished mixture. \u00a0The light gray walls are to give light to the mixture and the dark wall is to bounce that light back onto the palette and the canvas. \u00a0Ta-Dah!!!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today&#8217;s Run: \u00a02.28 miles Last Winter we began the process of painting the inside of the house. \u00a0We are almost done with that project. \u00a0The only room left to paint is the Solarium. \u00a0We left this room for last because, well, we do not really care \u00a0what color it is.
