Today’s Run: \u00a0Rest Day<\/p>\n

In past blogs we have discussed chicken tractors and chickens. I thought that today we would just have a\u00a0pictorial\u00a0anthology of what we now have at our house~that way you can actually see the finished \u00a0project (if you have been following along).<\/p>\n

This is the chicken tractor. \u00a0It is 4′ X 8′ and is completely enclosed except for the bottom, which rests on the ground.<\/p>\n

The top part is the roosting area with the nesting box is off to the left. \u00a0There is access to the nesting boxes by lifting the lid on the top left side. \u00a0The entire top side is a hinged door that opens so you can clean and also reach eggs that someone may have laid someplace other than in the assigned nesting box.<\/p>\n

\"chicken<\/a>On either side, on the bottom level, is a box. \u00a0The right hand side is the water trough (shown here) and the other side is covered and contains the feed trough.<\/p>\n

\"chicken<\/a> \"chicken<\/a>The run is enclosed and the chickens have shelter from the elements here and also protection from predators.<\/p>\n

Also, on the front of the tractor is the “handle” which you use to “pull” the tractor and relocate it on the property.<\/p>\n

Pretty Cool Beans, huh???<\/p>\n
