I am now obsessively counting down the days to my race.  You say, “What?  I thought you were already doing that!”  Well, yes, you would be right but it’s worse now that it’s getting super close and I have a zillion things to get done before we leave for the race.

Seriously, though, I’m feeling prepared.  Calm.

This is frightening!

My racing singlet for Renegade Endurance racing team arrived in the mail today.  I’ve been watching for it.  I kind of expected it to get here on Saturday but it came today so I’ll have a snazzy new shirt to wear representing my awesome teammates on Renegade Endurance.    http://www.renegadeendurance.com/

Aside from a trip to Walmart to pick up food for during the race for MFH (My Favorite Husband) and myself, the only thing left to do is drop the animals off at “Reggie’s House” and get my hair cut.  I do have a small taper run on Wednesday but that’s it, folks!  I feel like I have TONS to do but it’s really not that bad.

Easy Peasy.

Today is Leap Year Day!  I’ve really never paid that much attention to this day.  To be honest, this day has always been kind of annoying to me.  That’s pretty silly but it has.  This year, it’s been kind of fun!  Our sweet neighbor lady’s birthday is today and she is 21 (aka:84).  Maybe that’s why I’ve enjoyed today.

It’s been a picture perfect day in Mississippi!  Couldn’t ask for better weather.

Ran to Schaeffer’s Chapel.  You all know this is my favorite route!  That little Chapel lifts my spirits so I always enjoy those runs.   Today, though, I found a beach ball in the ditch across from the Chapel.  That hit my funny bone, so I snapped a quick pic.  I’ve seen many strange/interesting things while running but that beach ball made me giggle.  There was one large black bull who came up to the fence as I ran by both times.  He waited each time until I was past him to start “Moo-ing” like crazy.  Goofy cow.

We have lots of tiny purple flowers in bloom all over our yard.  My honeybees are taking full advantage of those flowers!  #happybees

That’s about it!  Seeing as it’s the last day of February, I’ll post my monthly and year to day mileage and that’s just because I’m a complete numbers nerd.

February miles:  181.76  *this 3 week taper killed my miles!  The rest was nice, though.  🙂
