Notification device IV

[Yesterday’s run: 3.5 miles]

I expect you are tired of hearing about this!

I boxed up the first part of my notification device and it is monitoring the temperature as we speak.

Now I am working on phase 2:  monitoring the signal for dead air.

I was able to find some code on github to let me control the one-chip radio and after struggling with it for an embarrassingly long time, I was finally able to get it to play.  Now I need to work on a strategy for determining dead air.  I think maybe I can run the audio output into an analog pin (maybe with a limiting diode in the picture) and just test for audio signal going up and down.  That’s my first idea anyway.
