I was searching around for some audio texts online to listen to on a long car ride.<\/p>\n
The best site I found was http:\/\/www.librivox.org\u00a0 They have\u00a0 a volunteer system where people can read a few chapters of a public domain text.\u00a0 Other volunteers compile the complete works which are then available for download in MP3 format.<\/p>\n
I downloaded Pride and Prejudice<\/strong> (which I had never read) and we have been listening to that on trips into town recently.\u00a0 I also have downloaded a couple of others which I will burn into CDs for later use.<\/p>\n And, I signed up to be a reader. I have lots of projects already so maybe this will stick and maybe it won’t.\u00a0 But I thought I would try reading a couple of sections and see how it goes.<\/p>\n I should also note that I’m burning these onto CDs.\u00a0 If I had a more modern car with a fancy audio system I probably would just put them into an MP3 player or on a thumb drive.\u00a0 But my cars don’t have that capability.<\/p>\n p.s.<\/p>\n Today I got some help from a mailing list and solved my Apache problem from yesterday.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" [Today’s run: Watson Road\u00a0 3.5 miles] I was searching around for some audio texts online to listen to on a long car ride.
