So no, it is not turning out to be a barn-burner event.<\/p>\n<p>But the contest runs until tomorrow evening so maybe it will pick up later.<\/p>\n<p>This evening I worked some more on my tower grounding system.\u00a0 I have 3 8-foot grounding rods at the base of the tower with heavy galvanized wire going to the tower legs and attached with stainless hose clamps (3 per leg).\u00a0 Then I have a heavy copper wire attaching the three ground rods together.<\/p>\n<p>I\u00a0 want to put in one more ground rod at my last feedline post, about 4 feet from the tower, and attached that into the tower grounding system.\u00a0 Then I will also have a ground rod at the entry point to the house.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-886\" href=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/?attachment_id=886\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-886\" title=\"Scan_Pic0039\" src=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/Scan_Pic0039-700x577.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"577\" srcset=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/Scan_Pic0039-700x577.jpg 700w, http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/Scan_Pic0039-1024x845.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/Scan_Pic0039.jpg 1133w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[Today&#8217;s run:\u00a0 Boardtown Runners &#8211; 9.8 miles] The ARRL June VHF QSO party is up and going and I have a total of four (4) contacts since 1:00 this afternoon.
