Probably not good.\u00a0 I may be home again next week because of the ARRL June VHF contest.\u00a0 We will see.<\/p>\n<p>We got quite a bit of stuff done today in spite of the high temperature and humidity.<\/p>\n<p>Right off in the morning I got my old Hy-Gain TH3 antenna reassembled.\u00a0 Then it was up the tower and installing the new Cushcraft A148-10S\u00a0 10 element 2 meter antenna.\u00a0 You can see me in the picture.\u00a0 Notice I am standing above the rotator.\u00a0 I have my feet wedged into the last little crossbar in the pointy top section and I am strapped to the mast.<\/p>\n<p>We attempted to get the TH3 up, but it was too heavy.\u00a0 We will get some more help this week and get it installed.<\/p>\n<p>We also got our last two 4&#215;4 posts set in the ground for the overhead feedline run back to the house.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this week we got the rotator and mast installed, and the control cable.\u00a0 Before next Saturday I need to finish the feedline to the VHF antenna and get the control cable routed to the house.<\/p>\n<p>And we got a kiddie pool for the dog at Wal-Mart.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-847\" href=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/?attachment_id=847\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-847\" title=\"IMG00392-20110604-0848\" src=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/IMG00392-20110604-0848-700x525.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"525\" srcset=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/IMG00392-20110604-0848-700x525.jpg 700w, http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/IMG00392-20110604-0848.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[Today&#8217;s run: nothing] I stayed home from the Boardtown Runners for the second Saturday in a row.
