{"id":840,"date":"2011-06-02T21:10:59","date_gmt":"2011-06-03T02:10:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/?p=840"},"modified":"2011-06-02T21:10:59","modified_gmt":"2011-06-03T02:10:59","slug":"rotator-and-mast","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/?p=840","title":{"rendered":"Rotator and mast"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[Today&#8217;s run: none]<\/p>\n<p>Got the rotator, rotator control cable and antenna mast installed early this morning.<\/p>\n<p>To install the mast I had to stand above the rotator, nearly as high as one could get on this tower.\u00a0 It was calm, no breeze, and the tower was steady.\u00a0 I got myself strapped into position so it was not anything dangerous.<\/p>\n<p>To do List:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>HF and VHF antennas to be installed<\/li>\n<li>feed lines<\/li>\n<li>series of posts to keep feedline out of the lawnmower<\/li>\n<li>extend rotator control cable to shack<\/li>\n<li>shack-end grounding rod<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I would like to have at least the VHF antenna up and working before the ARRL June VHF contest on the 11th.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[Today&#8217;s run: none] Got the rotator, rotator control cable and antenna mast installed early this morning.
