I’ve been enjoying my new job. It has challenges, but I learn a lot and there is a wide variety of things happening. And I get to be a flunky and not really worry about long term success or impressing anybody.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My wife misses Mississippi. She wants to move back there. That may be later or it may be sooner. I need to keep working: I like to work and have interesting things happening. I like the income. And most of all we need the insurance plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So I generally keep my eye out for any similar positions that may pop up back where we used to live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This last week one did and I sent in my resume. I am not enthusiastic to move. But it would at minimum be interesting to learn more about who is doing this kind of work in that area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And here is where someone could take a turn toward politics and talk about how “universal health care” would solve this kind of conundrum. Which it might. But it also would be a substantial step down from the kind of service I get now. I think it likely would be a step down from the Medicare level of service that I hope to enjoy in a few more years.
