{"id":730,"date":"2011-05-12T19:56:36","date_gmt":"2011-05-13T00:56:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/?p=730"},"modified":"2011-05-12T19:56:36","modified_gmt":"2011-05-13T00:56:36","slug":"tower-concrete","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/?p=730","title":{"rendered":"Tower concrete"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[Today&#8217;s run:\u00a0 nil]<\/p>\n<p>We got the concrete delivered today and poured our tower base and three guy anchors.<\/p>\n<p>The driver was able to back right up to the tower base and slid the stuff right in as slick as can be.\u00a0 For the guy anchors we used a wheelborrow to transport the stuff and inserted my steel pipe sections.\u00a0 The anchors ended\u00a0 sticking up about 6-8 inches, just enough room to get an eyebolt on but not so high as to have a large moment force on the pipe.<\/p>\n<p>I went with the pier-pin base, so there are no bolts in the base block concrete just a steel rod that sticks up about 3 inches.<\/p>\n<p>We will let things cure for a few days.\u00a0 Then I\u00a0 will drill for the eyebolts and get my guys measured out for length.
