{"id":7027,"date":"2019-04-28T20:28:23","date_gmt":"2019-04-29T01:28:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/?p=7027"},"modified":"2019-04-28T20:36:14","modified_gmt":"2019-04-29T01:36:14","slug":"i-like-the-picture","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/?p=7027","title":{"rendered":"I like the picture"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>[Yesterday: 7 miles ]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When I bring up the google search homepage on the chrome browser on my telephone, it shows me some selected &#8220;news&#8221; items.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One today was<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WhiteHouse\/status\/1121771416305700864\/photo\/1?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1121771416305700864&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.nbcnews.com%2Fnews%2Fus-news%2Fwhite-house-celebrates-melania-trump-s-birthday-bizarre-photo-n999141\"> a picture of the US First Lady<\/a>, Mrs. Trump, sitting on a sofa with a bunch of photographers around her. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The highlighted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/news\/us-news\/white-house-celebrates-melania-trump-s-birthday-bizarre-photo-n999141\">story from NBC News <\/a>was headlined: &#8220;<em>White House celebrates Melania Trump&#8217;s birthday with bizarre photo<\/em>&#8221;   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Like many news items these days, it has more &#8220;bite&#8221; in the headline than in the actual text of the article.  I was just talking to my son yesterday about another hard hitting headline that made a biting leap from the actual text of it&#8217;s article.  He told me he learned in journalism school that a headline is meant to be an encapsulation of the article.  I told him I think a lot of headlines now days are more like provocative bait meant to real in the reader.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I think it is a great picture, the composition, the colors, the facial expressions&#8230; I like it.
