[Today’s run: 5.75 miles]<\/p>\n

I have today off for President’s Day!<\/p>\n

So I determined this was a good time to take my scrap metal to the scrap yard.\u00a0 This is stuff that I’ve been taking apart from my pallet load of electronics and laboratory items I purchased from Tuscaloosa a couple of weeks ago.<\/p>\n

I had been dividing up the aluminum, brass\/copper, stainless steel, etc.\u00a0 And I’d been putting the screws\/nuts\/washers and connectors and such in my scrap bucket.\u00a0 I’ve sold a few of the bits and pieces on ebay and I have a few things up there now.<\/p>\n

I was very happy with the result of my trip to the scrap yard.\u00a0 They weighed my sorted buckets and bins separately.\u00a0 And then I drove the truck back into the big scrap yard (weigh-in\/weigh-out) and unloaded the few items that were either boring steel or I just had not wanted to dig into.<\/p>\n

(The lead-acid batteries were actually from another auction purchase; for a total of $35.75 for the Tuscaloosa pile.)<\/p>\n
