While I was working on the truck on Saturday I had occasion to need some stuff from the auto parts store.\u00a0 So I drove the Lexus to the auto parts store.\u00a0 When I came out there was a big door ding on the passenger side.\u00a0 It was kind of ironic that I’d be getting parts to fix the old beater truck and in so doing get a gash in the only car I’m trying to keep nice!<\/p>\n
Today I took it to the auto body place and they said it would most likely exceed the deductible to fix.\u00a0 So then I called the insurance and got a claim started.\u00a0 I’m supposed to take the car in next Monday and have it worked on.<\/p>\n
Cars are like most things in life, a slow downward slide from new to junk.<\/p>\n
The other car thing happening this week is an appointment for my son’s car to get the timing belt and other associated parts changed out.<\/p>\n
If all goes well, by the end of next week we will be a bit ahead in the old car department but not have lost much ground in the newer car department.<\/p>\n
