Our recent divergence to Atlanta was to pick up an auction purchase.\u00a0 The FCC site near Atlanta had listed a number of pieces of test equipment.\u00a0 I was the lucky winner of a B&K Precision 2620A Spectrum Analyzer<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 2620A is a portable unit which covers 0-500 MHz.\u00a0 It has two bandwidths, 250 kHz and 20 kHz. It also has an integrated tracking generator which makes it capable of characterizing filters of various types.<\/p>\n

I haven’t done much with it yet.\u00a0 It does appear to work.<\/p>\n

I already have a more capable spectrum analyzer, but it is a much larger and heavier desktop unit.\u00a0 I am hoping this portable unit might prove useful.<\/p>\n
