{"id":537,"date":"2011-04-13T19:40:04","date_gmt":"2011-04-14T00:40:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/?p=537"},"modified":"2011-04-13T19:47:10","modified_gmt":"2011-04-14T00:47:10","slug":"fresh-new-highway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/?p=537","title":{"rendered":"Fresh new highway"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[Today&#8217;s run: Downtown Y to Southern Family Market: 7 miles]<\/p>\n<p>After months and maybe years of construction they opened one side of the new Old Highway 45 today.<\/p>\n<p>I have looked at the pictures on Google Maps and the highway area had houses and yards and was mostly flat fields.\u00a0 But they dug out a big pit of fill dirt and made ramps up to both sides of the railroad tracks and put in concrete bridges over the tracks.<\/p>\n<p>Today they moved the traffic from the old 2-lane road on to one side of the double using it as a 2-lane until the other side is done.\u00a0 Part of the other side will be on the roadbed used by the old 2-lane, so they will have to pull out the dirt scrapers and get back to work on that.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a picture out the front of the windshield (which needs washed, sorry).\u00a0 Brand new, smooth asphalt, only driven on by the construction guys until today.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-538\" href=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/?attachment_id=538\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-538\" title=\"IMG00255-20110413-1753\" src=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/IMG00255-20110413-1753-700x525.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"525\" srcset=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/IMG00255-20110413-1753-700x525.jpg 700w, http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/IMG00255-20110413-1753.jpg 704w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[Today&#8217;s run: Downtown Y to Southern Family Market: 7 miles] After months and maybe years of construction they opened one side of the new Old Highway 45 today.
