[Today’s run: 5.5 miles]<\/p>\n

I was a bit under the weather yesterday so I took the afternoon off.\u00a0 Sometimes it is good to dip into that available sick-time when the old thinker is not really up to par.\u00a0 I hate changing something and having 50-100 people suddenly locked out of the system and everybody pointing at me.\u00a0 Ok, so just step back and take a break.<\/p>\n

Instead I was goofing around with the radio station playback system.\u00a0 Each day I form a list of play for the next day.\u00a0 That list is called a “log”.\u00a0 I was working on a query of the database that would show the major piece being broadcast for each hour.\u00a0 I got that working pretty good.<\/p>\n

Then I found information about how to make a post on a WordPress website (like this one) using a script.<\/p>\n

And then I joined the scripts together.\u00a0 So now I can easily have tomorrow’s log turn into a web post showing the major pieces for tomorrow’s broadcast.\u00a0 You saw an example in my post yesterday.\u00a0 And our radio station website has them over here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I’m pretty happy with that.\u00a0 I would like to make the title clickable to send you to\u00a0 librivox.org<\/a> so you could download the same piece for yourself, or see the text that was recorded.\u00a0 Also, I would like to figure out a way to show the full schedule.\u00a0 That is more tricky.<\/p>\n

But I was gratified that I could get this far and maybe the next steps will go as smoothly.<\/p>\n
