{"id":5074,"date":"2015-10-14T21:22:42","date_gmt":"2015-10-15T02:22:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/?p=5074"},"modified":"2015-10-14T21:22:42","modified_gmt":"2015-10-15T02:22:42","slug":"checking-out-the-hud-houses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/?p=5074","title":{"rendered":"checking out the HUD houses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[Today&#8217;s run: 3.4 miles]<\/p>\n<p>I was just checking out the HUD houses on the hudhomestore.com website.<\/p>\n<p>I usually check out what is available in our area of Mississippi, Colorado, Iowa, sometimes up in Wyoming and Montana or down in New Mexico.<\/p>\n<p>I was noticing that the number of homes for sale in Iowa seems to be much increased in the last few months.\u00a0 It probably takes most of a year for a house to be foreclosed on and eventually appear on their sale site.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t remember an economic crunch in Iowa, but maybe I missed it.<\/p>\n<p>I saw a nice place in the country near Van Meter that looked like it had a couple of acres and only one neighboring house.\u00a0 The other sides were cow pasture.\u00a0 That&#8217;s kind of a surprise too, since the stuff in Dallas County has been growing so fast.\u00a0 Maybe the place used to be a meth lab or something.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[Today&#8217;s run: 3.4 miles] I was just checking out the HUD houses on the hudhomestore.com website.
