I actually haven’t run yet today but it is such a beautiful day outside that it seems like the thing to do.\u00a0 After my lunch settles a bit I think I will go.<\/p>\n
Last Sunday we drove to Tupelo to pick up a laptop computer.\u00a0 I’ve decided I need one for the radio station project.\u00a0 Well, I got this one, an old Dell, and I spent a bit more to get some memory to put in it.\u00a0 It actually runs just fine.\u00a0 I don’t think it really had many miles put on it.<\/p>\n
But I am coming to the conclusion that it really isn’t the one I need.\u00a0 It won’t run the Rivendell radio station software because it has a processor that is 32-bit and not 64-bit.\u00a0 I thought about swapping with my ham radio laptop, but this old Dell doesn’t have a serial port and I usually need that for one thing or another.\u00a0 So I am back to looking for a more modern laptop.\u00a0 Generally, I need something with a “Core duo” processor or newer.\u00a0 Those would be 64-bit.<\/p>\n

I talked to the old-truck repair guy on the phone last week (did I post this before?).\u00a0 He says the engine’s two back cylinders have an oil problem.\u00a0 The engine is a 4.9L inline 6, just fyi.\u00a0 He was going to try a few things.\u00a0 If the oil is coming down from the valves, we may need some work done on the cylinder head.\u00a0 If it’s coming through the rings, that’s worse.\u00a0 He was talking about ways to determine which. So no resolution on the old truck yet.<\/p>\n

I did go for a run and it was very nice.<\/p>\n
Then we went to the local theater to see War Room,<\/a>\u00a0 the latest movie from the Kendrick brothers, and that was good too.\u00a0 We came in right at the beginning of the film and had to sit in the very front row.\u00a0 The place was packed.<\/p>\n
