[Today’s run: about 6 miles]<\/p>\n
I ran with the Boardtown Runners group this morning.\u00a0 Dr. Seth and I started out ahead of the regular crowd.\u00a0 We went to the first water stop, had a drink, turned around and came back.\u00a0 In all that time we didn’t see anyone.\u00a0 It was a loop course\u00a0 of 11 miles and I think the main bunch went the other way around the loop!<\/p>\n
But we had a stimulating conversation.\u00a0 I got to express my deep frustration and anger about the recent marriage developments, which I won’t go into further here.\u00a0 He sees things differently and is a calming person.\u00a0 So that was good for me.\u00a0 He didn’t change my mind about anything, but I started to feel that maybe the rest of the country hasn’t gone completely insane, or at least the ones that think like him.<\/p>\n
And he regaled me with stories about his son’s recent wedding, which sounded like a wonderful event.<\/p>\n
We ran through a couple of rain showers.\u00a0 I like running in the rain, it is usually cooling and refreshing.<\/p>\n
My truck (’97 Toyota Tacoma) is starting to have trouble with the clutch\/transmission.\u00a0 It gave me a bit of trouble again this morning.\u00a0 But I can usually convince it to work.\u00a0 So far I have been able to.\u00a0 Normal “feeling” of the clutch is to have it disengage about halfway down.\u00a0 But it gets into these moods when the peddle goes all the way down and may or may not disengage at all.\u00a0 That’s a bit of a bummer if you are coming up to a stop sign.\u00a0 But I either persuade it by pumping the peddle a few times or the engine just has to die.\u00a0 I plan to change the clutch hydraulic fluid and see if that helps.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
