I got it all back together and it appeared to work again.<\/p>\n<p>I worked on trying to get updates applied.\u00a0 The laptop just doesn&#8217;t have quite enough memory.\u00a0 I found also that the wallpaper, of all things, seemed to be using resources, so I changed that.<\/p>\n<p>I was still wrestling with it this morning.. and then it did the shutdown thing again.
