I’ve been rounding up some information for our 2nd board of directors meeting of Classic Book Radio.<\/p>\n
I don’t work on this project every day.\u00a0 Probably about one day a week I will work on some aspect for an hour or two.\u00a0 Recently it has been trolling for grant-making foundations, writing letters, printing off a packet of information and sending it in the mail to any that might be inclined toward us.<\/p>\n
I guess I will keep doing that until we hit the jackpot or the time expires on our construction permit.\u00a0 Our CP came through in the early part of this year (2014) and we have 18 months to get on the air.\u00a0 I have heard we can get a further 18 month extension if we need it.<\/p>\n
Since our application was uncontested, the FCC pretty much had to just check to make sure we met the qualifications and our engineering study was correct.\u00a0 Other groups across the country had conflicting applications and the FCC is still working through that pile.\u00a0 I follow the news about it a little bit, and it is expected to take awhile yet.\u00a0 So I am happy that we were successful.\u00a0 There are still people out there filing motions and and counter-motions to try to get what they want accomplished.<\/p>\n
