I can’t believe I have let a whole week go by without posting something.\u00a0 It has been my goal to run about three days a week and to post on the days I run.\u00a0 Obviously that didn’t happen.<\/p>\n
So I have to catch you up to the past week’s events.<\/p>\n
Last Saturday we went to running club in the morning.\u00a0 I worked on an Oracle consulting project in the afternoon, loading linux on a Dell PowerEdge 2950 and getting Oracle -XE and mySQL running, making a database link between the two.<\/p>\n
Sunday I went to church.\u00a0 We had a very good sermon on Abraham (we are in a series on Abraham).<\/p>\n
Over the course of the week I painted the old boat yellow.\u00a0 I have some boat registration numbers I need to put on it and I thought it would be good to paint it before doing that.\u00a0 I have some more to do before that is done.<\/p>\n
We had some baby chicks hatch.\u00a0 There were three to start but only one of them survived to today.\u00a0 So we have one chick and one hen in a box in the solarium room of the house.\u00a0 Chickens in the house… again.<\/p>\n
I have a busy week at work, lots of things happening.\u00a0 By the end of the week I think everything was working OK.\u00a0 It’s nice when all of the broken stuff is tidied up by the weekend.<\/p>\n
I got the new Beaglebone Black running at the Starkville weather station, and got that re-installed.\u00a0 We may have some adjustment to do there.\u00a0 The cumulative rainfall number seems to be out of wack, about twice what it should be.<\/p>\n
Tomorrow is the first Mississippi State football game of the season.\u00a0 They play Southern Mississippi at home.<\/p>\n
We’ve been watching “Criminal Minds” on NetFlix.\u00a0 It is an interesting show but I am starting to lose interest after the first two\u00a0 (3?) seasons.\u00a0 It is getting repetitious and the stories are now focusing more on the feelings and interactions of the people doing the detective work and less on the twists of the case.\u00a0 Doesn’t it seem like most television series shows run out of gas after about 2 years?\u00a0 Some die faster than that by giving everything away in the first couple of shows.<\/p>\n
We started a new car repair project this evening.\u00a0 My son’s old Ford Ranger started dripping brake fluid today: rusty brake line. So we have ordered a few parts and hope to get it back up and running tomorrow or Sunday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
