Yesterday was an eventful day.<\/p>\n
We have been accumulating a lot of chicken eggs in the refrigerator.\u00a0 The chickens lay many more in the summer than in the winter.\u00a0 With 8 hens, we 6-7 eggs a day.\u00a0 So we have about 6 dozen in the fridge right now.\u00a0 On Sunday I put a sign up on the mailbox “EGGS” is all it says.\u00a0 Today the newspaper delivery guy pulled into the driveway and I sold him a dozen eggs for $2.<\/p>\n
And I will be needing that money.\u00a0 We’ve been in need of another vehicle since my daughter’s car died.\u00a0 I was watching the government auction sites and I bid on a nice little toyota pickup truck in Lincoln, Nebraska.\u00a0 I won.\u00a0 So now I need to pay for it and get it picked up.\u00a0 I think my parents in Des Moines are willing to go and get it.\u00a0 (Even at 52, I frequently call on my parents for advice and help.)<\/p>\n
And the newspaper delivery guy also brought the newspaper which had a\u00a0 front page below-the-fold picture and article from the interview I did last week about Classic Book Radio.\u00a0\u00a0 The picture is not what you would call flattering, but it works.\u00a0 The article is very positive and encouraging.<\/p>\n
