{"id":4359,"date":"2014-06-05T21:57:12","date_gmt":"2014-06-06T02:57:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/?p=4359"},"modified":"2014-06-05T21:57:12","modified_gmt":"2014-06-06T02:57:12","slug":"4-county-open-house","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/?p=4359","title":{"rendered":"4 county open house"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.4county.org\/home.php\">4 County Electric Power Association<\/a> is our local power company.\u00a0 It actually covers parts of 5 or 6 counties, but they still call it 4 county.\u00a0 With a &#8216;4&#8217; not &#8216;four&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Every year they have a directors election and an open house.\u00a0 I went to it a few years ago but had not made it back until today.<\/p>\n<p>My wife and I went.\u00a0 It was at the local community college campus.\u00a0 They had a health fair, drew blood for cholesterol testing and checked our BP and blood sugar.\u00a0 They also had hearing and eye testing and a chiropractor thing.<\/p>\n<p>They were giving away door prizes and they had a lunch.\u00a0 It was not an amazing lunch, but it was &#8220;free&#8221; food.\u00a0 And they had\u00a0 a lot of their regular employees helping direct people and just being helpful.\u00a0 It was very pleasant.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the meeting they were going to draw for the main prize, a used pickup truck.<\/p>\n<p>But, we were there about an hour and we decided not to wait for the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>It was very nice.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>4 County Electric Power Association is our local power company.\u00a0 It actually covers parts of 5 or 6 counties, but they still call it 4 county.\u00a0 With a &#8216;4&#8217; not &#8216;four&#8217;.
