{"id":4130,"date":"2014-01-16T21:04:10","date_gmt":"2014-01-17T03:04:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/?p=4130"},"modified":"2014-01-16T21:04:10","modified_gmt":"2014-01-17T03:04:10","slug":"test-equipment-blues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/?p=4130","title":{"rendered":"Test equipment blues"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[today&#8217;s run: none]<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve got the test equipment blues.<\/p>\n<p>I was working on rewinding a coil for the HBR receiver project.\u00a0 I built a test setup to test the coil, it goes in the Beat Frequency Oscillator (BFO) section of the receiver.<\/p>\n<p>I fired up the test thing and I turned on my oscilloscope to try to look at the waveform.\u00a0 Uh oh.\u00a0 The O-scope wouldn&#8217;t come on.\u00a0 darn.<\/p>\n<p>So I ordered some power supply capacitors, two orders because I messed up the first one.\u00a0 And I&#8217;ve replaced almost all of the capacitors in the power supply.<\/p>\n<p>But it still doesn&#8217;t work.<\/p>\n<p>I actually had other things I wanted to work on.\u00a0 But I think they are going to have to wait so I can get this &#8216;scope fixed.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[today&#8217;s run: none] I&#8217;ve got the test equipment blues.
