[Today’s run: rest day]<\/p>\n
Well, it’s been a few days since I posted anything!\u00a0 Sorry about that.<\/p>\n
We had a nice Christmas.\u00a0 We actually had gift opening on Christmas Eve and then had a nice family dinner on Christmas Day.\u00a0 So it was a stretched-out holiday and I enjoyed that.<\/p>\n
The church had a Christmas Eve service and it added to the holiday too.<\/p>\n
I only had three work days this week.\u00a0 Next week will be similar.\u00a0 I could get used to having days off!<\/p>\n
I’m not sure I have much to report.\u00a0 I have not been running as much, but I am trying to get some walking in.\u00a0 Our wellness program at work gives me $50 if I meet the requirements for the quarter.\u00a0 I was having no problem earlier this year with our volume of running for the October marathon.\u00a0 But after injuring myself in November it put a real dent in my numbers for this last quarter.\u00a0 I am still within achieveable range, but I have to do some hour-long walks every day for the rest of the month.\u00a0 I just got in from walking the dog this evening.<\/p>\n
My neighbor has invited me to go deer hunting with him.\u00a0 I think the plan is to go tomorrow and shoot something to put in the freezer.\u00a0 I need to talk to him yet tonight and see if we are a ‘go’ on that.\u00a0 I sharpened up a knife and I know where my orange jacket is.<\/p>\n
My other neighbor has been trying to put together a time when I can go on a run with him to haul a load in his truck.\u00a0 That would get my CDL going a bit.\u00a0 But so far his work and my work have been on the same days and we haven’t got it done.\u00a0 My learner’s permit runs out in a few months, so I need to get it in gear if it is ever going to happen.<\/p>\n
Weather has been interesting.\u00a0 Cool, and clear recently.\u00a0 I like it.\u00a0 This is about as nice as Mississippi ever gets.<\/p>\n
