[Today’s run: rest day]<\/p>\n

We had a very nice day today.\u00a0 It started out with pancakes.\u00a0 Then we had an excellent sermon in\u00a0 church this morning.<\/p>\n

Then we had some visitors today. My uncle Lee and cousin Brian have been working over in Tuscaloosa and they came over.\u00a0 We had a lot of good conversation and went out for lunch.\u00a0 I’m not sure how it ended up that uncle Lee paid for the lunch.\u00a0 But I try not to struggle too hard when someone shows an inclination to feed me.<\/p>\n

Uncle Lee and Aunt Barb are some of the most generous people I have ever met.\u00a0 That is a fact.\u00a0 I have asked them to do things for me, and they jump right up as if that is the best idea they have heard all day.<\/p>\n

Cousin Brian and I used to do a lot together when we were boys.\u00a0 He is, I think, two years younger than I am, maybe a few months either way.\u00a0 He is very fit, into a lot of bicycling.\u00a0 He and Melinda were getting all about fitness gear and the poor posers at the gym, etc.\u00a0 That was fun.\u00a0 Uncle Lee and I just let them have that part of the conversation.<\/p>\n

We had a very nice lunch, came back to the house and talked for a bit longer.\u00a0 Then they were back on the road to return to Tuscaloosa.<\/p>\n

I didn’t take any pictures of our visitors, and they may not want their mugs on my blog anyway.\u00a0\u00a0 But I do have this picture from our recent trip to the Northeast.\u00a0 This was in Connecticut.\u00a0 I was trying to remember why I took it.\u00a0 I remember, it was because the curb was cut granite.\u00a0 I thought that was interesting for a residential street.<\/p>\n
