We have had a few days of cloudy skies and it is approaching the winter solstice.<\/p>\n
That means less light during the day to charge up the batteries in my solar powered weather station.<\/p>\n
I have modified the status page to show the current battery voltage, and things are not looking very good.\u00a0 Tonight as the sun went down we were already under 12 volts.<\/p>\n
I don’t know if we will make it until morning.<\/p>\n
The weather unit will run down to 5 volts, maybe lower.\u00a0 The BeagleBone computer probably will die before that. When the battery charges up, I think it should all restart.\u00a0 It is hard to know.<\/p>\n
We may find out!<\/p>\n
