Our A\/C unit outside started making very unhappy noises toward the end of the day yesterday.\u00a0 The fan motor quit running and the compressor was squealing and it just wasn’t right.<\/p>\n
I tore into it, worked on until almost 10:30 pm (I think).\u00a0 Never could get that fan to go again.<\/p>\n
I called the HVAC guy today.\u00a0 He just left a little while ago.\u00a0 They put in a new fan motor and new capacitor.<\/p>\n
I talked to him about putting together a quote for a replacement unit.\u00a0 I’m tired of putting money into this old thing.\u00a0 A new one would be more efficient and should last 10-12 years without a big repair.<\/p>\n
We will see what kind of numbers he comes back with.\u00a0 I’m hoping it will be something that will also give us a bit of a break on the electric bill.<\/p>\n
I can’t live in Mississippi without A\/C.\u00a0 Not going to happen, particularly when I sit all day at a desk with some warm computer equipment around me.\u00a0 I get all sweaty and my arms stick to the table.<\/p>\n
Don’t really know what he’s going to come back with.\u00a0 I may have to go see the bank for a loan.<\/p>\n
