My wife is a published author(ess) now.\u00a0 Some people that she knows, somehow, started a local magazine and she submitted an article about her experience with back-yard chickens.<\/p>\n
She researched the subject quite a bit.\u00a0 They published her article.<\/p>\n
Now she has another article about running.<\/p>\n
And, she has started a series of articles about her chickens.\u00a0 One of them is named Ed Stakrispie, and, so the story goes, Ed is a detective.\u00a0 So she has written a series of articles about the detective hen.\u00a0 I think she modeled it somewhat after Sherlock Holmes and Watson because Ed also has a sidekick hen.<\/p>\n
She wrote the articles aimed at children.\u00a0 She turned to my mother for some technical advice, what words to use, etc.\u00a0 My mother was a long-time elementary school teacher.<\/p>\n
Anyway, now we recently got our first story through the grape vine about a young “fan” of the Ed Stakrispie Detective Hen stories.\u00a0 So I started a facebook page.\u00a0 No sign of the kiddies yet on facebook.\u00a0 Maybe they keep kiddies off of facebook anyway, I don’t know.<\/p>\n
I have taken some pictures of Ed and the other chickens.\u00a0 A couple of the best ones she submitted to the magazine with her articles.\u00a0 But some of the others I am posting on the facebook page.<\/p>\n
My wife’s chickens are famous.<\/p>\n
