{"id":3808,"date":"2013-08-25T07:54:14","date_gmt":"2013-08-25T12:54:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/?p=3808"},"modified":"2013-08-25T07:56:35","modified_gmt":"2013-08-25T12:56:35","slug":"waffles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/?p=3808","title":{"rendered":"Waffles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[Today&#8217;s run: rest day]<\/p>\n<p>My wife claims that today is the start of National Waffle Week.\u00a0 She frequently makes these pronouncements about National X Day or whatnot.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t know where she gets her information!<\/p>\n<p>But in light of the holiday, we made waffles this morning.\u00a0 We use an old style waffle iron which I picked up at a garage sale.\u00a0 We have had others which also work.\u00a0 But the old one seems to be the best of the bunch.<\/p>\n<p>We use a recipe from <em>Complete Step-by-Step Cook Book<\/em> , Better Homes and Gardens,1978.
