{"id":3565,"date":"2013-05-11T18:43:54","date_gmt":"2013-05-11T23:43:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/?p=3565"},"modified":"2013-05-11T18:43:54","modified_gmt":"2013-05-11T23:43:54","slug":"vining","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/?p=3565","title":{"rendered":"Vining"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[Today&#8217;s run: 12 miles, yesterday 3 miles]<\/p>\n<p>We have been enjoying the pergola that we built last year.<\/p>\n<p>Eventually, we hope to have vine-ing plants cover the top to provide more shade.\u00a0 And to that end we planted a &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Akebia_quinata\">chocolate vine<\/a>&#8221; at each of the four external posts (away from the house).<\/p>\n<p>On the advice of the landscaper, we put some heavy cotton string from the base of the posts to the rafters overhead.\u00a0 And we have been watching the vines head for the top.<\/p>\n<p>Two of them are about head high already.
