{"id":3548,"date":"2013-05-01T19:18:03","date_gmt":"2013-05-02T00:18:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/?p=3548"},"modified":"2013-05-01T19:18:03","modified_gmt":"2013-05-02T00:18:03","slug":"my-desk-is-a-mess","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/?p=3548","title":{"rendered":"My Desk is a Mess"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[Today&#8217;s run: Limerock Road 4 miles]<\/p>\n<p>I am not a very organized person.\u00a0 And my work area is particularly prone to a slow accumulation of paper.<\/p>\n<p>I am still a print-it-out-and-read-it kind of guy.\u00a0 Which means that I have stacks of stuff that I have printed out and read.\u00a0 I know from experience that I will want to read it again or make reference to it.\u00a0 But probably half I end up throwing away or printing a second time.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway.<\/p>\n<p>I end up with stuff on all of the horizontal surfaces within arm&#8217;s reach of my swivel chair.<\/p>\n<p>I was never around during the days when a guy could have a secretary, someone who was a professional at filing and organizing.\u00a0 I guess I can&#8217;t really afford to pay anyone to do that for me either.\u00a0 But the thought is just obscenely luxurious.\u00a0 Here, take this paper.\u00a0 Produce it again when I ask for it.\u00a0 Ahh!<\/p>\n<p>Recently the author of the children&#8217;s book &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/From_the_Mixed-Up_Files_of_Mrs._Basil_E._Frankweiler\">From the Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E Frankweiler<\/a>&#8221; died.\u00a0 See, someone wrote an interesting book about filing things.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve read it.\u00a0 I still can&#8217;t file anything.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[Today&#8217;s run: Limerock Road 4 miles] I am not a very organized person.\u00a0 And my work area is particularly prone to a slow accumulation of paper.
