[Today’s run: Watson Road – 3.5 miles]<\/p>\n

We’ve had a bit of interesting weather in the last few days.\u00a0 Last week we were hot.\u00a0 Then on Thursday of this week we had 3 inches of snow.\u00a0 Snow in Mississippi pretty much brings things to a halt.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 When I lived in Colorado I thought this was a sure sign of the laziness of southerners.\u00a0 But now I know that the real problem is that there is no sanding or snow removal.\u00a0 So a bit of ice or snow turns the roads slip-sliding like you normally wouldn’t see even in Colorado.<\/p>\n

I guess that goes-to-show that snow removal and sanding\/salting really does help.\u00a0 Without it you can’t get very far.<\/p>\n

We got our January landline phone bill from AT&T today.\u00a0 It went up $2.20.\u00a0 that was a $2.00 increase in the regular phone service rate and an extra $0.20 in taxes.\u00a0 It came out to be a 3.7% increase.\u00a0 The official inflation rate for 2012 was 2.07%.\u00a0 So I guess I must be getting about 1.63% better service than I was last year and that is why I am paying more?<\/p>\n
