[Today’s run: rest day]<\/p>\n

While we were down in Meridian over the weekend I had noticed that the front left tire on our car (2010 Honda Accord) had a gash in the sidewall.\u00a0 It looked like it was holding air ok, so we drove it on home.<\/p>\n

I was supposed to call the shop about getting the tire fixed on Monday.\u00a0 But I put it off.\u00a0 Fortunately I was prompted on Wednesday;\u00a0 the oil change indicator came on.\u00a0 So this morning I am at the Honda dealer.<\/p>\n

The tires were all worn about the same.\u00a0 We are going to put two new ones on the front and keep the best of the rest to put on the rear.\u00a0 My experience with Honda’s is that the front tires wear much faster than the rear.\u00a0 So maybe next time they will all need replaced at once.<\/p>\n

The guy said I could get better quality tires for a quieter ride.\u00a0 That sounds pretty nice, but not enough to justify the extra cost.<\/p>\n

We get these things done and we will be ready for a road trip in December.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
