Another note on on-line shopping.\u00a0 Today on one of my regular browses of the government auction sites I note an ECT machine for sale.<\/p>\n

I find that kind of humorous.\u00a0\u00a0 They sometimes have various forms to sign for some of this stuff, to keep it from being shipped to foreign government or whatever.<\/p>\n

But you can buy this thing and try DIY ECT treatments.\u00a0 No problem!<\/p>\n

ECT is commonly known as “shock treatment”.\u00a0 I’d think that doing one on yourself would be a bad idea since you might not be able to function very well after the zap.<\/p>\n

The Stanley Mickelsen Safeguard Complex is an Anti-Ballistic Missile complex which was developed to preserve the United States\ufffd second strike capability against Soviet nuclear missile attacks. The property is located in North Dakota and was the United States\ufffd first Anti-Ballistic Nuclear Missile Defense System. The SRMSC became operational in 1975 and was deactivated in 1976. Since then, the property has been in caretaker status. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Remote Site Launch (RSL #1) property is located in Ramsey County, North Dakota. It is located about 12 miles southwest of the MSR and three miles east of Hampden, North Dakota. The RSL #1 offers approximately 40.61 fee acres improved with various buildings totaling approximately 15,267 square feet and 273.95 line of sight easement acres, more or less. The property is surrounded by farmland. The site housed the Sprint missiles that were to be used secondarily to the Spartan missiles launched from the MSR. \u00a0Sprint missiles were 27 feet long and equipped with nuclear warheads to intercept and destroy incoming Soviet missiles. The site contains 12 Sprint launch silos; limited access sentry station; subterranean remote launch operations building and heat sink. By 1977, all of the RSL sites were closed, missiles were removed and the silo covers were closed.
