About 18 months ago I bid on some stuff online… and won it.\u00a0 So we drove the old pickup to the Georgia coast and walked on the beach for a few minutes on Jekyl Island.\u00a0 Next day we picked up the stuff and drove home.\u00a0 I eventually unloaded it on other hams and everything found a good home.<\/p>\n
Before the end of the day today I’ll know if I’m taking a vacation to West Virginia.\u00a0 Surely not.\u00a0 Same auction site, similar piece of equipment.\u00a0 99% of the time someone comes along in the last few minutes and blows my low-ball bid out of the water.<\/p>\n
But it really wouldn’t be a bad drive this time of year.<\/p>\n
