craigslist<\/a> frequently and see what people are trying to sell.\u00a0 Much of it is just junk as far as I’m concerned.\u00a0 But if someone tries to get rid of something good, I’ll be ready.\u00a0 On craigslist I look at Auto Parts, Farm & Garden (tractors!), Electronics, Computers, Boats and sometimes Motorcycles.\u00a0 If someone lists something on craigslist that I might want, at a\u00a0 price I’m willing to pay, it is probably a spam posting.\u00a0 Real people want too much money and their stuff is usually junk, like the junk I already have.<\/p>\nNot to be negative about it or anything.<\/p>\n
Sometimes I snag something worthwhile.\u00a0 About a year ago I got a 16 can VHF high-band radio combiner from a government auction website.\u00a0 Didn’t cost much.\u00a0 Had to drive to Georgia to pick it up.\u00a0 Saw the ocean.\u00a0 That doesn’t happen every day!\u00a0 I brought it home and took it apart.\u00a0 Played around with the parts for awhile and then sold most of it off to other people.\u00a0 So I got a trip, entertainment and income out of it.\u00a0 I don’t see any downside to that at all!<\/p>\n
Right now I have a lowball bid in for a hydrogen fuel cell in Huntsville, AL.\u00a0 That would be something cool to own.\u00a0 I could probably sell it for more than I’ll pay, and a trip to Huntsville may involve having to drive by the space museum.\u00a0 So another win-win situation.\u00a0 I expect I will be outbid.\u00a0 But it could happen!<\/p>\n
