[Today’s run: rest days]<\/p>\n
My wife had her second cataract surgery this week.\u00a0 That puts her off of running for about a week.<\/p>\n
I’ve been working on the pergola project, spending most of my free time and energy there. So, no running since earlier in the week.<\/p>\n
Had a very nice church service this morning.\u00a0 We missed last week because we were traveling.\u00a0 I can always tell when I have missed church.\u00a0 Long about Thursday I start to feel kind of shifty and out of sorts.\u00a0 But today was a good solid sermon from John 1:1-18.<\/p>\n
The pergola is coming along fine.\u00a0 We had a big build-day on Saturday, had folks over to put up boards and pound nails.\u00a0 That got me within a couple of evening’s work of being done.\u00a0 I hope to polish it off in the beginning days of this week.<\/p>\n
We got into the beehives a bit today.\u00a0 Honey production is pretty low this year.\u00a0 We do have some honey we took out that needs to be filtered and bottled.\u00a0 Maybe we can work on that tomorrow evening.\u00a0 Honey doesn’t spoil, so no big hurry as long as other critters don’t get into it.<\/p>\n
I’ve been reading the Memoirs of\u00a0 General W.T. Sherman.\u00a0 I just got past the siege of Vicksburg.\u00a0 It’s a good book.<\/p>\n
