{"id":2489,"date":"2012-04-20T13:52:15","date_gmt":"2012-04-20T18:52:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/?p=2489"},"modified":"2012-04-20T13:52:15","modified_gmt":"2012-04-20T18:52:15","slug":"ts-830-repair-underway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/OM\/?p=2489","title":{"rendered":"TS-830 repair underway"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[Today&#8217;s run: rest day]<\/p>\n<p>We went to Radio Shack last night after dinner to pick up some solder wick.\u00a0 They have a nice display of various sizes and kinds of solder.\u00a0 But no solder wick.<\/p>\n<p>I came home and stripped out some shielding from a piece of\u00a0 coax cable and rubbed in some solder flux.\u00a0 That has worked ok for solder wick.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve removed and repaired two of the seven sub-boards of the bandswitch.\u00a0 Here&#8217;s a picture of board #2.\u00a0 You can see small soldered places on each of the contacts.
